Eyecandy Website for Excellent Eyewear
B7 Optika — Premium eyewear boutique located in Budapest
About B7 Optika & Challenges
B7 Optika is a premium eyewear boutique located in Budapest, offering high-end optical frames and sunglasses.
At B7, eyewear is not just about vision correction but a form of self-expression. The store places great emphasis on providing a seamless experience for its customers, combining aesthetic excellence with functional precision. This is supported by their cutting-edge diagnostic equipment, ensuring the highest quality of vision examination and an effortlessly comfortable eyewear experience.
When we began our collaboration, only the store plans, the logo, and the client’s vision were available. One of the main challenges was finding the delicate balance between understated elegance and marketing effectiveness — both in terms of content and visual design.

Discovery
Understanding the market and brand values, shaping the content and offering
We began by exploring the market, B7 Optika’s core values, and target audiences (through personas) together with the client. This process allowed us to define the tone of voice and the style of the website. A major focus was placed on the customer journey and identifying pain points of potential clients—especially because most people in the target group already have a preferred optician. We needed to uncover what might prompt them to try a new one.
Key insights:
- For the primary persona, age-related vision issues and hobby-related needs present a strong entry point. We conducted keyword research and created content outlines for blog posts, which were later written by the client with our guidance.
- The secondary persona included younger family members of the primary persona, who are more reachable through digital and visual content. Ideally, they visit the store together. 😄
Basic Website & Booking System Integration
The first step in building a digital presence
The top priority was creating a high-quality landing page that reflects the atmosphere and sophistication of the physical store—visiting the site should feel like stepping into the boutique. Based on the business vision, our UX designer mapped the structure, and then the copywriter and UI designer, through multiple iterations and close collaboration with the client, completed the homepage and the eye exam page. We also designed the store's window decals and signage.
Once the design was finalized, we provided a precise development estimate. The result was a uniquely developed yet visually editable website, where the client could begin uploading blog content.
After launch, we supported the initial marketing campaign by writing scripts, organizing the photo and video shoots, enabling them to kick off the Christmas campaigns.
Brand pages
Highlight brands and the most iconic models
Since B7 Optika heavily relies on the prestige and quality of the brands they sell, the next logical step was to design dedicated brand pages showcasing their most iconic frames. This enables targeted campaigns around individual brands while offering visitors a curated preview of the product range. The client can upload brand and frame content through the admin interface.

Full Product Showcase site
Showcasing all available in-store products
Analytics showed that blog posts performed very well, but the website lacked interactivity — visitors weren’t spending enough time browsing the offering. To enhance the experience and align with the vision of making the website feel like walking into the boutique, we proposed a more “online store”-like experience.
This includes:
- Showcasing all products available in-store
- Advanced filters for recommendations based on face shape and style
- The ability for visitors to select frames online, which will then be prepared in-store for try-on
This enhances user interaction and enables more sophisticated ad targeting.
Future Development Ideas
Several development ideas remain in the pipeline that we plan to execute with the client moving forward:
Purchaseable Christmas Gift Package:
This is essentially an aesthetically appealing, ready-to-gift package that combines an eye exam and glasses purchase. Priced above a minimum threshold, the package is designed so that not only can the primary persona buy it for the family, but their family members can also easily gift it. The result is a realistic, hassle-free Christmas gift that naturally encourages parents to visit the store.
In-store Gallery and Voting Feature:
Professional photos are taken of visitors at the store. From these photos, a link is generated that leads the customer to a personal gallery, where they can share the images with friends or via social media. Visitors can vote and comment on their favorite looks. This not only provides a premium, interactive experience but also indirectly promotes B7 Optika among their social circles.
I commissioned Digital Probe to create the website for our new high-end optical store. The result fully met my expectations — and even exceeded them, especially in areas I hadn’t initially considered. They were excellent partners in refining those details.
Over time, the team became a proactive, complex-thinking, and creative partner in more and more related tasks — especially in marketing strategy, which I’d like to highlight. Our discussions significantly improved my perspective and helped me make more strategic decisions.
In my opinion, Digital Probe’s strength lies in their drive to truly understand problems, their ability to think in systems, and their proactive work approach.
